05/15/2009

Show Low AZ (May 1 2009) Great Western Bank in Show Low is taking steps during the uncertain economy to help local residents save for the future while also making donations which will benefit the community.

Tracy Mancuso, branch manager with Great Western Bank at 3051 S. White Mountain Road, Suite A, said the bank is offering a "GreaterThan CD" (certified deposit) program available to anyone. The 10-week program runs through the end of May (it started on March 16) and customers must apply in person.

"A percentage of the CDs opened between now and May 22 will go to help area seniors and improve resident health care via donations through the Foundation for Senior Living and the Summit Health Care Foundation," Mancuso said.

She said there are some requirements, but anyone wishing to take advantage of the offer should stop by or call the bank and they will guide them through the process.

"We have probably one of the best branch location rates for CDs," Mancuso said. "And we have neither requested nor accepted any 'TARP' money.

"We also rank as one of safest banks in the U.S," she added.

She said there are some bank requirements, but anyone who wishes to take advantage of the offer should stop in or call the bank and they will guide them through the process.
