In the News - Great Western Bank donates $2,450 to area preschools

OSCEOLA IA (June 25 2009) Everyone knows that wise investing makes a difference. Now, Great Western Bank and its customers have proven that investing in our communities can make the greatest difference of all with the GreaterThan CD program.

To further its cause, Great Western Bank will donate $1,450 to Clarke Community Preschool and $1,000 to Murray preschool, in order to help make a difference for children who need it most in the two communities. With the donated funds, both preschools plan to purchase books for the literacy learning library.

“We are excited that Great Western Bank is supporting programs such as ours that maintain a commitment to children in great need of resources and equality,” Monica Garner, Executive Director of the Clarke Community Preschool Program, said.

“Community is important to us,” said Jeff Erickson, President and CEO of Great Western Bank. “We see the value of investing in the areas that we, along with our customers, call home. This campaign is an investment in the quality of life in these areas and our way of giving back.”
