In the News - Great Western Bank makes donation to Boys & Girls Club-AC Branch

ARIZONA CITY AZ (June 25 2009) Everyone knows that wise investing makes a difference. Now, Great Western Bank and its customers have proven that investing in our communities can make the greatest difference of all with the Greater Than CD program.

To further its cause, Great Western Bank donated $1,875 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Casa Grande Valley in order to help make a difference for youth in their community that need it most. In its 11 years serving the community, the Boys and Girls Club has provided services to thousands of area youth. With the donated funds, the Boys and Girls Club plans to support member scholarships.

"Community is important to us," said Jeff Erickson, President and CEO of Great Western Bank. "We see the value of investing in the areas that we, along with our customers, call home. This campaign is an investment in the quality of life in these areas and our way of giving back."

Launched in April, the GreaterThan CD program is one way Great Western Bank is Making Life Great in the communities it serves. For every certificate of deposit opened under the program, Great Western Bank donated money to worthwhile, local causes in each customer's hometown.
