Subprime Lending:
Subprime lending is risky due to the combination of high interest rates, frequently poor credit histories and potentially adverse financial situations that are sometimes associated with subprime applicants. This type of lending is highly controversial; some say it targets borrowers who could never meet the terms of their loans. Others say that subprime lending extends credit to people who would otherwise not have access to the credit market.

Great Western Bank has not been involved with these types of risky lending practices. In fact, we have a reputation of using only sound, prudent banking practices to ensure the complete security of our customers’ deposits.
