Sioux Falls Tornado Cleanup

Offering a helping hand to those impacted by tornadoes in Sioux Falls

On Tuesday September 10th, 2019 three tornadoes touched down in Sioux Falls, SD causing significant damage to around 37 commercial buildings and numerous homes. The path of the storm created a mess with hundreds of fallen trees and branches that landed on homes, yards, streets, driveways, and sidewalks leaving homeowners with the burden of cleaning up the debris. The Helpline Center received over 600 calls from people in Sioux Falls needing assistance with cleanup the week following the storm.

20 Great Western Bank employees collaborated with the Helpline Center in Sioux Falls to help those without physical or financial means to clean-up their properties. These efforts resulted in $1,260.00 of Employee Giving Program funds being donated to the Helpline Center so they can continue helping individuals in crisis.
