Intra-Institution Transfers

Transfer money to other Great Western Bank customers.

Great Western ebanking intra-institution transfers allow you to add another Great Western Bank customer as a recipient who you can transfer money to in seconds!

Intra-Institution Transfers allow Great Western ebanking users to transfer money to other Great Western Bank customers in real-time, just like when transferring money between your own accounts.

You can transfer money to any Great Western Bank customer with a checking or savings account. The recipient does not need to be a Great Western ebanking user.

Online Banking/Mobile Web: Once logged into Great Western ebanking online banking, select “Send Money to GWB Customer” from the Move Money drop down. Click on the “Add a recipient” link in the upper right hand corner and fill in the requested information. Once the recipient has been successfully added, the recipient will now show as an option under the “To” drop down on the Transfers screen. Select the account you would like to transfer money from, enter the amount as well as a memo if desired, then click “Make transfer” to complete the transfer.

Mobile App: Once logged into the Great Western ebanking mobile app, click the “Make a transfer” icon at the bottom of the screen. Click the “To” field, select to add a recipient and then fill in the requested information. Once the recipient has been successfully added, the recipient will now show as an option under the “To” drop down on the Transfers screen. Select the account you would like to transfer money from, enter the amount as well as a memo if desired, then select “Confirm” to complete the transfer.

You will need the other customer’s first three characters of their last name, their account type (checking or savings) and account number. Once a customer has been successfully added as a recipient, you can continue to send money to that person without having to add him or her as a recipient each time.

Funds are transferred in seconds when transferring to another Great Western Bank customer using the Intra-Institution Transfers tool.

Online Banking/Mobile Web: Log into Great Western ebanking online banking and select “Manage Transfer Destinations” from the Move Money drop down. Click “Remove” next to the recipient you would like deleted.

Mobile App: Once logged into the Great Western ebanking mobile app, click “Make a transfer” icon at the bottom of the screen. Click the “To” field, then swipe to the left on recipient’s name that you would like to remove. A “Delete” option will then show. Click “Delete” then select “Remove.”
