Your gift will allow us to continue our life changing programs through our 3 different housing programs, emergency men's shelter, daily meal site and veteran's programs supported by the generosity of funders. We are also thankful that Great Western Bank creates a work culture that promotes their employees to volunteer in their community. Your employees that have volunteered through New Visions Homeless Services have walked in integrity, love and compassion to the homeless of our community, we are so very blessed to be able to partner with GWB.”

Making Life Great Grant recipients DVIP

Kristi Fortmann-Doser, Executive Director, Domestic Violence Intervention Program. Iowa City, IA

"At the Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP) we understand that it takes our whole community to end domestic violence, dating violence and stalking. That's why we want to say thank you to the visionary leadership at Great Western Bank that works with us in so many ways to change the lives of our neighbors, colleagues and loved ones.

This month Great Western Bank donated $5000 to assist DVIP in providing emergency services and trauma-informed care to adult and youth victims. These funds support our 24 hour hotline, emergency shelter, and adult and youth counseling services. In addition to putting their money where their heart is, Great Western Bank shares their expertise and supports their staff in volunteering to directly make a difference. For the women, men and children we serve this means they have a safe place to go, support to heal from trauma and a community to back them up as they move towards sustained independence.

Thank you Great Western Bank from the staff, board and  on behalf of the nearly 2000 individuals we served in Southeast Iowa!"
