Iowa Women’s Foundation

Dawn Oliver Wiand, Executive Director, Iowa Women’s Foundation

“Thank you Great Western Bank! 70% of Iowa's female head-of-households struggle economically. Through targeted research, grants, advocacy, education, and collaboration, the Iowa Women's Foundation works to shatter the barriers to economic self-sufficiency so ALL of Iowa's women and girls have equal opportunities for success. When Iowa's women and girls are successful, our businesses thrive, our communities flourish and Iowa wins.

Your generous gift of $5,000.00 is greatly appreciated. Together, we are working to identify, support and advocate for realistic viable community based solutions that will break those barriers down and create pathways to success for women and girls across Iowa. We truly appreciate your dedication to our work and all you do to help make it possible.”

Hillary Reed, Executive Director, Leadership Pikes Peak

“Leadership Pikes Peak is pleased to announce it has received a $5,000.00 grant from Great Western Bank. These funds will help support the Women’s Community Leadership Initiative (WCLI) program at Leadership Pikes Peak.

WCLI helps women to flourish by providing opportunities for education, skills development, networking and mentorship. With personal and professional development, along with mentorship and encouragement, these women are able to take leadership roles in their community.

Leadership Pikes Peak is truly grateful for the support from Great Western Bank. This support will assist Leadership Pikes Peak in serving 27 women in our 2018 WCLI class”.

Ashley Hahn-May, Resource Development Specialist, NeighborWorks

“Great Western Bank has made a genuine difference for the NeighborWorks Lincoln (NWL) organization and Lincoln community. Their staff engaged directly with the not-for-profit to learn more about the organization’s programs and the purpose of community building, homebuyer education, and real-estate development.

Great Western Bank has awarded NWL a $5,000.00 grant to apply to one low income single-family new construction home. The ongoing engagement shown through volunteerism and financial support demonstrates their commitment to their community and the people impacted by the community development activities.”

Julie Brown, Development Associate, Tri-Lakes Cares

“On behalf of Tri-Lakes Cares and our clients, we would like to thank Great Western Bank for the generous grant award of $5,000.00. Their support allows us to serve low-income households in the Tri-Lakes region of northern El Paso County who are struggling to make ends meet. Tri-Lakes Cares (TLC) is a community-based, volunteer supported, resource center whose purpose is to improve people’s lives through emergency, self-sufficiency and relief programs.

We are so incredibly thankful for the generous grant award of $5,000.00 and it will truly make a difference in the lives of those in need! Without the generosity of community-minded donors such as Great Western Bank, we would not be able to make the impacts that we do. We appreciate Great Western Bank’s Community Grants Program, which has demonstrated a meaningful and significant commitment to giving back. Thank you for helping to make our community a better place!”
