Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
The health, safety and well-being of our customers, employees and communities continues to be our top priority. Due to varying safety recommendations in the areas surrounding our branches, some locations are open to the public, while others remain open by appointment only. All drive-thru services and hours remain unaffected. Please use our Lobby Reopening Schedule to determine if an appointment is required before your visit. We will be updating the list regularly. Please avoid branch lobby visits if you are sick, have been exposed to the virus, or have traveled to a high-risk area.

Rest assured, we are deeply committed to being responsive to the needs of all of our customers. We appreciate your understanding during this time.

How to Make the Most out of your Summer Travels

The kids are out of school. Flowers are planted. Summer is finally here! The start of June means many families are planning summer trips. If you’re wondering how to travel with ease, keep these tips in mind to make your family vacation picture perfect:

  • It is a good idea to keep daily tabs on your card transactions. You can easily and conveniently do this on the Great Western ebanking app.

  • If you are traveling outside the United States, it is a good idea to let your bank know. Just like having your neighbors watch your house while you’re away, you want your bank to know also. Several blocks are in place that need to be removed for cards to work in certain countries.

  • Verify that your phone number is updated in case of potential fraud. That way our Fraud team can verify suspicious transactions.

  • Bonus: If you have a Great Western Rewards VISA®, enjoy double points on travel related expenses such as gas, hotel and airlines. Get the details here.

Remember, if you need help, we are just a phone call away. You can find us at We want your summer trip to be safe and convenient.
